As Web Content Specialist you are responsible for the creation and/or acquisition of content for the new corporate web platform, the Employee Dashboard (new intranet).
Starting from the needs of the end-customer and the identified communication objectives the web content specialist will improve the user experience of the web platform by developing the right communication and key messages tailored to the needs of the target audience.
Being a great communicator by nature, you are able to analyse information received from the department contributors and translate this in relevant messages and content.
You are also able to execute the content migration planning to ensure all viable content will be available on the new platform system.
Essential for the role is web Content creation. The Web Content Specialist will be held responsible for the creation and acquisition of the verbal content (primarily textual but also audio), while he's also assuring close follow-up on the tasks of the other content specialist & media specialists, such as graphic designers, web manager… as online content can take many forms, including plain text, links, images, audio, video, interactive devices (forms, polls, questionnaires, etc.).
Main tasks include:
·Prepare textual content for department or sites (content, links, FAQs, etc.).
·Design content for web forms/polls.
·Prepare textual content for notification SMS, Mail templates.
·Specify the multimedia content needed to support or work alongside textual content.
·Locate and select appropriate, existing multimedia content, including still images, audio and video.
·Liaise with media specialists in the creation of any new media content.
·Edit copy received from additional content contributors.
·Clear copyright for the use of any existing content
You work in a content communication team and report to the Communication Manager.
·You have excellent web writing skills.
·You have a good knowledge of French/Dutch, English.
·You are able to analyse and summarize the important information to identify key message & target audience.
·As a good communicator you have a strong knowledge of online content (link, pictures, forms…)
·You are able to coordinate the information received from the content/department contributor.
·Knowledge of project methodology: Agile is a plus.
·Knowledge in social media - community management is a plus.
