Job Description

Web Analytics Engineer.
Kent.
£340- £400 per day
Our client is a well-known UK brand, and they're looking for an experienced Web Analytics Engineer to start as soon as possible (due to growth of this team). You will be part of a good team, tasked with the set-up, config and support on a broad set of web monitoring and marketing systems.

With the team, you will provide configuration and support activities on a broad range of applications such as SpeedTrap or Tealeaf configuration, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager, Cognos reporting, HTML, HTTP response data, multivariate Testing, all sat on Linux.
You will have really solid all-round Web Analytics and Linux experience and you will be able to show experience in a similar environment.

Your Knowledge and Experience:
*Convert the business requirements into detailed analytics requirements that follow the defined tracking guidelines.
*Exercise data governance to ensure the consistency of data over time. Maintain control over the tag management system. Oversee all third-party tagging requests.
*Define and implement tracking using Adobe Dynamic Tag Manager and Google Tag Manager.
*Identify and scope projects that contribute to traffic and conversion.
*Direct data layer implementation on new sites and pages across website properties
*Successfully engage in acceptance testing and troubleshooting for analytics.
*Knowledge of common reporting tools (eg Cognos)
*Take lead in fault diagnosis and rectification of E-commerce environments. This will involve working with 3rd party application support teams.
*Act as a subject matter expert for all E-commerce analytical based technologies.
*Collaborate with teams in the business to define consistent tracking methods to capture customer behaviour across any web-based channel, web site and mobile app, emails, digital media, etc.
*Understand and gather business requirements for analytics, guiding the business on reporting best practices.
*Collaborate with site developers to modify and improve the data layer to improve analytics.
*Exercise data governance to ensure the consistency of data over time. Maintain control over the tag management system. Oversee all third-party tagging requests.
*Work closely with internal teams to develop pre-project measurement plans and post- project reporting.
*Understanding of dashboard and report creation for web analytics tools would be an advantage
*Expertise in regular expression creation and data management with MS Access and MS Excel would be an advantage
*Knowledge of HTML, HTTP request/response data
*Configuration experience for multivariate testing and behavioural targeting tools
*Understanding of click stream data, site user behaviour, and funnel reporting
*Demonstrable ability to work closely with developers and business areas to ensure customer insight through the configuration and use of web analytics tools
*Ability to deliver systems configuration change accurately and in a timely manner
