Our Client, who provide software for the legal industry, is seeking a Developer to be based in Wimbledon/Winchester/Birmingham or Leeds on a permanent basis.
We are looking for an experienced Developer in asp.net and C# with commercial experience to work on developing, upgrading, enhancing and supporting our VisualFiles system. This is a new additional role and the successful candidate will work alongside our existing VF developer. We are looking to recruit a person to help us build on and expand our current processes.
Main duties and responsibilities
Your key tasks will be to:
Develop the case management system with the aim of optimising the business efficiency and procedures.
Upgrade the current environment to the latest release of VisualFiles.
Implement Outlook Plus.
Implement History Plus.
Work with the IT team to deliver first class reports for internal MI and for client consumption.
Ensure that the integration between VF and Elite (the firms PMS) is watertight.
Work very closely with the business to undertake business process analysis with a view to further enhancing and developing workflow processes.
Assist the IT service desk with VF administration, troubleshooting and other queries.
Work with the Business Services teams to enhance internal processes and systems.
Document changes and adhere to internal processes and best practices.
Other duties and responsibilities
Any other duties as reasonably requested by the Head of IT.
As well as our head office in Wimbledon, the firm also has offices in Leeds, Winchester and Birmingham. Some travel between our offices will be required.
This is an exciting chance for you to bring about real business transformation. Clearly you will need significant experience of implementing applications to bring about change. With the opening up of VF to use .net any experience in this area would be a significant advantage. Experience of Word Macros and template development would be a further plus. The role will require an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing, furthermore you will naturally embrace new technologies, ideas and our business requirements. We need someone who is flexible, with a forward thinking approach, the ability to work to tight deadlines and the drive and desire to make a clear difference within our firm.
