Trainee EUC Support Analyst - North Yorkshire

My client, a leading financial organisation based in Harrogate is hiring for a Trainee EUC Support Analyst to join them on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role is to support the business in the provisioning and maintenance of all end-user computing environments and applications, including local area network management and corporate applications. To display competent support skills, and demonstrate good communications skills through BAU duties.

The role:-
-Working with more experienced members of the team in providing 1st/2nd/3rd Line EUC support.
-To assist in the provision of technical desktop and application based support activities as required across the business.
-To assist in providing application support for all current desktop and server based applications.
-To assist with hardware support for all end user IT equipment.
-To assist, manage and maintain all EUC systems.
-To assist in maintaining full legal compliance with regards to installed software.
-Participate in training to improve overall technical skill levels of the Internal IT Support team.
-To fully support all equipment relocation - staff moves, etc.
-To assist in ensuring that appropriate levels of stocks are held.
-Assist in maintaining security over company hardware assets.
-Responsible for the security, and general condition of equipment rooms

-An enthusiasm for the IT support environment, with a passion and customer focus toward the end user. Committed with a strong willingness to learn.
-Basic knowledge of servers, networking, and Active Directory would be useful but not essential.
-An excellent problem solver with strong analytical skills, able to use creativity and logical thinking to reach a solution.
-Working knowledge of supporting and maintaining PC's, laptops, printers and various mobile devices.
-Good understanding of Desktop/Laptop Hardware and familiar with Windows 7 Operating System and MS Office Products.
-Experience with supporting thin clients and virtualised environments.
-Knowledge of web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari). Microsoft certification in a EUC subject, with technical and administrative disciplines.
-Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
-Possess or working towards CompTIA, Microsoft or similar IT courses.
-Methodical with a good attention to detail and well organised. Able to handle working under pressure ensuring support calls are being resolved in an efficient and effective manner. Polite, courteous and customer focused. Ability to liaise effectively and build rapport with users.
