A market leading Payments company based in North West London / Hertfordshire requires a Test Analyst with strong experience within Agile and Automated Testing to join them on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of the role is to Script (Manual & Automated), Execute and Report Test Cases results for FPS Maintenance Releases.
Key skills and experience needed:
·Must have worked within an Agile Team(Ideally SCRUM) where close collaboration with Development team was a daily activity.
·Ability to use a programming language to script (not record & play) automated tests. Ideally VB or Java
·Practical(not theoretical) experience using QTP to create automated backend test cases
·Good written and verbal communication skills, in order to interact with other team members effectively
·Basic knowledge of project management tools
·Minimum 3 Years Testing experience
·Predominantly tested Back End systems.
·Experience and proficiency of the following:
§Good SQL skills
§Use of SQL Developer or TOAD
§Use of Telnet, SSH clients ie Putty
§Good Unix skills to monitor, tail capture logs
·Use of SOAP UI for testing Web Services
·Use of Jira for Defect Management
·Experience of testing in Web Logic Managed server environments
·IBM Web Sphere MQ Explorer
·Testing experience in the payments industry, particularly within payment transaction processing.
* Experience of other automation tools ie Cucumber, Selenium.
Key accountabilities and duties:
Scripting, Maintaining & Running Automated backend functional tests
Scripting, Maintaining & Running Manual backend functional tests
Execution and Reporting of Non Functional Tests
Work closely with Development team to identify opportunities to bring forward Functional Testing.
To develop awareness of the FPS test environment set-up
Sufficient practical knowledge of the project lifecycle (business, testing, development and operational environments) to be able to function effectively without frequent reference to others.
To support Senior Tester leading the team where appropriate in order to meet own deadlines.
To provide estimates of the effort required carrying out the planned tests and the elapsed time necessary to complete testing.
To develop own technical skills and knowledge through optimising on the job training opportunities and / or pursuing formal qualifications.
To recommend solutions & improvements to existing automation pack
