OVERVIEW:
- My client is a leading global pharmaceutical company with key business activities
in the Opthalmology sector.
SUMMARY:
- Maximise sales growth of key products on a month by month and annual basis
- Deliver, support and communicate central marketing strategies at territory level
in line with the ABPI Code of Practice
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Sales*
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual market share growth for territory in line
with agreed goals and objectives
- Develop a strategy which manages promotional budget effectively and appropriately
in order to drive and demonstrate a high level ROI
- Drive and monitor sales through centrally generated sales reports
*Business Planning and Activity*
- Create, implement and update a Key Account Plan
- Deliver required call coverage and frequency on different customer types
- Deliver agreed target for number of days in field in line with goals and
objectives
- Deliver agreed numbers of customer educational meetings
- Ensure that all administration and reporting is completed in line with company
expectations and in line with goals and objectives
- Produce a process which identifies and informs management of impending tender
dates for review
- Attendance at 3-4 sales meetings away from home will be required each year,
lasting up to a week (One of these sales meetings may be abroad)
*Communication / Customer Focus*
- Demonstrate effective selling skills / incorporating IIBAC model using approved
marketing materials supplied
- Conduct regular territory updates as appropriate
- Share best practice with colleagues through appropriate communication channels as
agreed
- Communicate with territory colleague on regular basis (minimum 3/week) to ensure
territory coverage is maintained
- Communicate with line manager on a regular basis
- Deliver Ophthalmology strategy through varied and appropriate mediums as agreed
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree-educated (preferable) with a science focus
- Relevant experience in Opthalmology product selling or a strong track record
of performance in GP/Hospital pharmaceutical sales
- ABPI certification for Medical Representatives
- Demonstrable skills in business planning and key account management
- Full, preferably clean driving license
