Job Description

Our client is a global leader in pressure sensors and instrumentation products, so whether you're flying in the stratosphere, drilling on the sea bed, or somewhere in between, you will likely be using their sensor technology.

We are looking for a Technical Regulations and Standards (TRS) specialist for our client based in the Leicester area. You shall be working in a team that maintains global certifications for innovative pressure sensors and instruments.

You will be supporting projects from conception to product release, working closely with all other functions, including the Sourcing, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Quality departments, as well as their on-site production teams in Leicester & China.

The role requires:
*Obtaining, renewing and updating product certification.
*Liaising directly with third party agencies.
*Supporting factory audits.
*Assessing the impact of design changes on existing certification.
*Annotating and reviewing changes to design documentation and product literature.
*Storage of certificates and agency reports in accordance with our business procedures.
*Keeping abreast of the latest changes to the global certification environment.
*High standard of documentation for evidence of conformity.
*Excellent written and verbal communication.
*Excellent organisational skills across multiple simultaneous projects.
*Ability to work across continents with remote engineering and sales teams.
*Supporting external customers, internal sales and marketing functions.
*Keeping track of work in a logical and methodical way.

*Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant subject or equivalent knowledge or experience
*Strong people and time management skills.
*Working knowledge of Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, Visio etc)
*Proven ability to work to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
*Demonstrate clear and concise English communication skills with suppliers and team members.
*Ideally you will have experience of obtaining certifications from third party agencies.
*You will have the ability to articulate complex scenarios/details to departments not familiar with these concepts.
*Familiarity with electrical safety, hazardous area and wireless standards.
*Knowledge of basic electrical, electronic and mechanical principles.
*Foreign language skills would be beneficial.
