TECHNICAL AUTHOR - BURY ST EDMUNDS - PERMANENT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To produce and maintain high quality documentation for our clients bespoke applications including: user manuals, administration manuals, quick reference guides, training manuals, presentations, brand guidelines and application Help text. In addition, there will be a requirement for the development and creation of training collateral

What you will do:

* To liaise with customers and staff to gather and understand documentation and training requirements;
* To provide an estimation of effort to produce and deliver training and documentation materials;
* To develop and maintain clear, concise documentation and help text that is easy to read and understand;
* To assimilate system and business requirements from functional specifications and software applications;
* To deliver documentation and help text in line with release timescales;
* To design and develop training materials. videos. e-learning material and example training data; Track progress against plans;

Your experience will include:

* Experience of producing a range of user guides and on-line help is essential;
* Experience of producing a range of reference and learning materials including e-learning and printed is essential;
* The ability to learn new systems quickly, and to understand the business environment into which they are deployed is essential;
* Experience of the training development cycle (needs analysis, design and development);
* Experience of designing bespoke system training packages is essential;
* Excellent written communication skills are essential including editing and proof reading skills;
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills are essential.
