Job Description

Service Desk Technician - Tamworth - £19,000-£22,000 per annum

Job Purpose:
You will respond to calls e-mails and Service desk requests generated by the companies offices around the world.
You will be required to contribute to other IT service management processes to ensure that service operation is efficient and professional.
The vision of the Service Desk is to be a centre of excellence that provides IT support and services that are business-aligned, performance-driven, customer-focused and adhere to industry best practice

Key accountabilities;
·1st level technical support of a range of hardware and software technologies
·Categorisation and triage of logged call
·Service request fulfilment.
·1st & 2nd level technical support of systems.
·Management of configuration items within the remit of the Service Desk.

Candidate specification:
·Excellent customer service skills.
·Strong problem solving and resolution experience
·Team player.
·Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
·Knowledge and experience with ITIL / IT service management support model
·Working knowledge of: Windows 7; AD administration; Office 2007/2010; Exchange/Outlook 2007/2010; Citrix client support; Cisco VPN; and BlackBerry support.
·MCSE/ITIL Certification would be desirable
