Job Description


We are seeking a Technical Architect to be responsible for designing and delivering change to the IT service supporting business requirements, promoting efficiency through effective implementation and use of IT systems, software and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of the IT infrastructure with a focus on the server, vitalisation, storage, data, directory and identity services.

Accountabilities will include;
Driving digital innovation through new technologies and approaches to improve and transform the existing IT infrastructure.
Assisting with the design of the governance, measures, metrics and standards associated with ensuring the IT infrastructure is aligned to the enterprise technology architecture and quality targets.
Leading research, evaluation, and selection of hardware and software technology to underpin the designed future state of the IT infrastructure.
Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to enable the desired future state of the team.
Document and maintain the infrastructure architecture designs, standards and specifications.
Coach, mentor and collaborate with other members of the department and wider team to support the development of a technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.

Key skills include:
Project Management including waterfall and agile based approaches.
Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
Strong leadership skills.
Knowledge of many, if not most, aspects of an enterprise technology architecture.
Advanced Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Identity and Access Management.
Expert in visualisation and VDI technologies ideally in VMware and Citrix.
Expertise in server hardware selection and the design and build of scalable, software defined platforms.
Storage technologies including Block, File, Object across interconnects including IP, iSCSI and FC.
Extensive Windows Server administration.
Microsoft System Centre suite including SCCM and SCOM.
Scripting, PowerShell, Ansible/Chef/Puppet.
