Permanent Senior Service Delivery Engineer position - Lutterworth, Leicestershire - £35,000-£40,000 per annum

My client are currently recruiting for a Senior Service Delivery Engineer to be based in Leicestershire.

The role will be responsible for the day to day technical support requirements including monitoring of all LANDESK service requests, allocation and categorisation of requirements based on priority and technical need and direct ownership of all infrastructure and user platforms.

Key responsibilities:

- Be the first point of contact for IT issues. Take ownership of reported incidents and follow them through to ensure they are completed.
- Work within a virtual team to provide technical know how and incident support to staff. Be responsible for any escalated calls from the wider team and ensure that these calls are resolved appropriately.
- Act as the senior technical authority onsite for local systems including but not restricted to email, servers, storage, telecoms and networking
- Monitor and support company phone system
- Lead global virtual team as senior technical authority.
- Monitor the availability of local and global systems through existing portals and log/resolve/escalate risks, capacity constraints etc
- Responsible for IT hardware and software inventory and asset registration

Skills/Experience:

- Knowledge of ITIL service management and process execution
- Experience working in a global manufacturing environment or similar
- Advanced knowledge of MS Exchange 2010 and above, Windows client and server operating systems, VMWare infrastructure and HP server and storage technologies.
- Experience managing projects and leading small virtual teams.
- Working knowledge of VOIP PBX systems.
- Proven experience in IT Support and Service Delivery/Problem Management positions.
