Job title: Senior Market Research Analyst
Job type: Initial contract to end of 2017 + likely extensions

- My client is a successful and highly-regarded pharmaceutical company
- This role is an exciting opportunity to work with them with a key responsibility
of producing brand market share reports across an international product portfolio

Key duties:

- Build a shared dataset that can be used by other areas of the business (finance,
commercial anlaysis) and conduct follow-up analysis on this data on an ad-hoc
basis to answer business questions
- Support primary market research managers to integrate key primary sources into
regular brand performance reporting
- Maintain relationship with data vendors to ensure the receipt of consistent &
accurate data
- Collate a library of syndicated market analysis reports and proactively
recommends opportunities to update / plug gaps

Main accountabilities:

- Manage the reporting of regular brand share monitors for inline brands across the
core business units
- Use custom analytics tools to produce regular PowerPoint-based market monitors
that track the performance of company brands
- Write insightful commentary on brand performance
- Work to define the content, frequency, audience and optimal delivery mechanism
for trackers
- Support primary market research managers to integrate key primary research
outputs into the regular tracking
- Maintain distribution lists for regular reporting
- Produce and manage additional routine deliverables from the data set as requested
- Manage relationships with data suppliers to ensure consistent timely delivery of
routine data
- Carry out validation studies to QC current and new data sources
- Identify opportunities for further automation of the data processing tasks to
reduce errors and speed-up production times
- Plan and supervise work carried out by outsourced programing teams to deliver

Required skills / experience:

- University degree or equivalent, higher level in science or business preferred
- Significant work experience in marketing information/brand reporting within the
Pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record integrating market data and manipulating large, complex
multiple sources to support business decisions
- Extensive experience in using a variety of mainstream pharmaceutical industry
secondary data sources
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel - VBA programming skills also desirable
- Experience in creating and improving systems for information processing
- Awareness of core market research methodologies also desirable
