- My client is a leading consultancy with activities in the energy, planning and
environmental sectors. They employ over 5000 staff globally


- This role will be based at my client's state of the art facility in
Hertfordshire which provides commercially accessible ultra-trace level
analytical services, using state of the art analytical equipment, including the
latest flagship Agilent 6495 LCQQQ instruments
- Due to continuing growth, there is an exciting opportunity to work at their
specialist trace organic chemistry laboratory where you will be supporting
external and internal clients across Energy, Water Utility, Food & Beverage
business sectors

Job Overview:

- This role would suit an experienced LC Analyst looking for the next step in

work autonomously, effectively managing a team of scientists, ensuring the

Skills / Experience required:

- Minimum of a 2:1 BSc in Chemistry or closely related subject or equivalent
industrial experience
- Significant demonstrable experience working within an accredited analytical
testing laboratory, working with HPLC, LC-MS and LC-MS/MS systems
- Ability to demonstrate the capability as well as experience of developing LCMS
methods / applications from concept through to validation to final delivery
- Demonstrable experience of a range of sample preparation techniques, including
liquid:liquid extraction and solid phase extraction
- A high degree of flexibility will also be required to deal with the varied
matrices and compounds required for testing
- Experience working within an environmental testing laboratory analysing for
trace levels of a range of environmental contaminants in difficult matrices
would be highly advantageous
