Job type: Initial 12 month contract + potential extensions

- My client is a highly-respected, global technology company with a vast product
range across multiple business units
- I have an exciting opportunity to work with them on a contract basis within their
pharmaceutical division for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their
Marked Product Support (MPS) group

Job overview:

- The marketed product support group provides support for all commercial products
manufactured onsite
- This particular role will involve testing a new drug product for registration
stability, development studies and support for process scale-up in line with the
site procedures

Key duties / responsibilities:

- Carry out analytical testing and checking of notebook documentation reviews as
agreed with primary work group leader to meet overall timing of the project
- Produce laboratory investigation reports (LIRs)
- Raise APR and any other safety incident as required
- Complete CAPA closure as required including LIR & QIR CAPAs, GMP audit
- Follow the 10 rules of GMP as part of quality compliance
- Raise, write and complete investigations (LIRs and QIRs) as per current procedure
- Support all Audit and Compliance activities
- Ensure all equipment meets validation and calibration requirements as per site
- Demonstrate concern for safety and GMP when carrying out work

Required qualifications, skills & experience:

- Either BTEC HNC/HND or Science degree with practical laboratory elements (or
equivalent) is desirable
- Experience in inhalation product testing (IPT) in a pharmaceutical environment
- Good understanding of GMP
- Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and its practical application in a non-academic
- Working knowledge of analytical instrumentation, preferably HPLC, GC, IR, MS,
- Understanding of basic statistics
- Computer literate, familiar with MS Word and Excel
- Good communication skills
- Able to work efficiently unsupervised as required
- Good decision making and problem solving skills

Working pattern:

- 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
