Senior Java Developer - Java - J2EE - Agile - Waterfall - UML - Core Java - Spring - Hibernate - Oracle - PL/SQL - XML - Java Development - SDLC - Java Developer

Senior Java Developer required for prestigious financial organisation based near Watford, Hertfordshire. The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the implementation of high performance, scalable, mission critical services and products using Java technologies. To implement solutions in line with agreed designs, ensuring a quality service is delivered into test and production environments successfully.

Skills Required:
·Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Java Developer.
·Experience of working in an Agile & Waterfall software environment.
·Experience of UML and Object-Orientated Analysis and Design principles.
·Experience in the full life cycle of software development (inception to transition/Live)
·Proven experience and knowledge of the following:
·Unit tests and related frameworks/Spring/Hibernate.
·XML and associated processing technologies.
·Core Java & J2EE technologies.
·Oracle & PL/SQL
·SCM
·Ability to analyse and solve system defects, needing help to address high priority issues.
·Able to correctly implement the defined functionality and use existing frameworks.
·Experience in contributing/reviewing technical design documentation.
·Able to communicate effectively in workshop discussions, and seek clarity when necessary.
·Able to grasp new technical and business knowledge with some mentoring.
·Able to work as part of a team, and resolve most local issues on their own with limited support when instructions are given.
