Job title: R&D Laboratory Analyst
Job type: 12 month contract + potential extensions
Location: Leicestershire, East Midlands, UK
Pay rate: £10 - £13/hour DOE

Summary:

·My client is a leading global technology firm with a well-established
pharmaceuticals division
·I am looking for a Scientist with some experience of HPLC analytical testing
for a long-term position with them
·The role will involve testing inhalational products as well as raw materials
and components, as part of the early stage development process

Day to day duties:

·Testing of pharmaceutical inhalation dosage forms to GMP standards for
stability, development studies and batch release in line with departmental
procedures to generate data for regulatory submissions
·Supporting the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms

Key Responsibilities

·Participate in the generation of analytical data, record and report in line
with departmental procedures
·Under supervision, contribute to the generation of data for the validation
of analytical methodology
·Plan and organise own work load to meet project requirements
·Conduct routine tasks with minimal supervision
·Complete work and documentation to standards of compliance designated by
external regulatory bodies and internal procedures
·Carry out assessment of results using basic data analysis techniques
·Investigate atypical results using basic problem solving techniques
·Ensure that laboratory work is conducted safely and to the required quality
·Undertake special tasks as and when required by the business needs
·Maintain a good attendance and time keeping record in accordance with the
general working practices of the department

Qualifications & Experience

·BTEC HNC / HND or Relevant Life-Science degree
·Demonstrable technical testing experience in analytical chemistry
