For projects assigned, the DCS Program Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, controlling and reporting the status in accordance with published PMO standards, guidelines and policies.
The functional Scope of DataCenter & Cloud Services (DCS) includes Data Center Facility Operations, Server and Storage environments, Database Services, Data Protection and Disaster Recovery services.
Geographical scope of the function is Global
*Ability to work with the assigned business sponsor to ensure that the project scope is finalised prior to the commencement of a project.
*Staff the various Project Team with the appropriate range of skills & experience.
*Organising and chairing steerco meetings, to which Head of DCS is invited/copied in, arranging for the distribution of minutes/action items, and ensuring action items are carried out.
*Collaborates with Head of DCS to provide regular reports to IT Portfolio Manager in agreed format including budget and financial reporting.
*Requesting additional support from Head of DCS (mentoring, advice) for the project team as necessary.
*Develop publication plans and communication strategy.
*Ensures the project timelines, deliverables and budget are clearly defined in line with Head of DCS input, and monitors progress against objectives.
*Lead the project review at Governance and is able to highlight the key issues of the project, and its positioning in the portfolio.
*Produce reports which highlight progress against output projections, key issues and deviations from agreed plans representing.
*All reports and minutes from Team Meetings are properly signed off and stored in the project management database.
*Responsible for escalation of any key issues on the project to Head of DCS, proposes solutions, and actively helps resolution.
Expected skills & experience
· Strategic visionary, participate in global, cross function, roadmap alignment.
· At least Master Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
· 5 to 7 years of professional experience.
· Fluent knowledge of English.
· Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive solution approach attitude.
· Strong proficiency in project management methodology, tools, and practices.
· Demonstrated experience in creating detailed documentation for complex projects.
· Demonstrated ability to manage advanced level projects and to coach other team members.
