Job Description

Project Manager - 6 month contract
Hertfordshire with travel to other UK sites.

An experienced Project Manager is urgently required on a contract in Hertfordshire with travel to other UK sites.
Key skills:- Detailed project management delivery of a complex process and IT change (focussed on People Change) in support of the a newly launched Programme Office & Assurance

The main objective of the programme is to design, deliver and implement a world class Portfolio, Programme and Project Office, creating a proactive fully transparent model which will give the business a full transparent view of the change landscape.
Key focus on (but not limited to):
*Interactive Performance Dashboard (focussed on KPI's )
*Status Reporting
*Proactive Assurance
*Fully utilise existing technology for Portfolio, Programme and Project Office and Assurance
*Re design process to simplify Programme and Project Oversight
*Create a learning solution for all colleagues across the change community to support the above
*Proactive Change Control Governance model (with Automated controls )

The role requires significant leadership across the entire programme to support the Programme Director duties Include:

*Strategic Programme Leadership
Leading the change team to deliver the programme goals
Business & Colleague Strategy/Engagement techniques
Business/benefit case building, measurement and execution of large scale strategic change
PMO, traditional Change models in addition to Agile methodology
Strategic leadership Updates (Board Level through to COO)

*Specialist Business Support & Thought leadership

*Business Performance & continuous Improvement

· Significant exposure to the design, delivery and leading of high value, high risk projects and programmes (People, Process, Tech & Control ) single and multiple
· Previous experience in the senior leadership management of major programmes and projects
· Strategic Influencer across mutli-country based organisations Excellent interpersonal skills: Excellent communication, listening and presentation; insight and analytical power; persuasion, negotiation and gravitas
· Best in class track record of identifying problem areas with projects and facilitating resolution
· Significant experience of working in a highly pressured environment and with senior stakeholders to Board level Expert understanding of the principles of across a wide range of topics from strategic design, colleague engagement, strategic influencing through programme leadership from business case, start-up, delivery, implementation through benefits realisation
· Decision-making: able to make sound recommendations for change (even if controversial), to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
· Experience in both Waterfall and Agile approaches to software development

Ability to quickly gain confidence of the COO Leadership community and senior leadership Teams and key business partners and beyond


Exposure to Leading and implementing, Programme and Project management within global Infrastructure organisations (e.g. Financial, Banking, Utilities) in a wide variety of cultures and regions
