Job Description


Our client has the opportunity for a Product Owner with experience in Procurement and Stock Management to join their busy Letchworth office on a permanent basis. You will be the subject matter expert within Procurement.

You will have functional knowledge in the procurement domain and act as a subject matter expert in this area. You will be responsible for tactical product decisions, defining user stories and managing the product backlog. You like complex challenges and don't get too stressed when juggling multiple tasks at the same time. You take ownership, initiative and pride in your work and strive to help others when required.

Essential Skills

·Experience in finance / accounting. Specifically in procurement / stock management.
·Excellent communicator
·Team Player
·Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills

Desirable Skills

·Scrum/Agile experience
·Experience in markets like Local government / NHS / Non for profit organisation
·VSTS / Azure Devops
·Java, SQL Server, Oracle, Crystal reports

Core Responsibilities

·Serve as a product expert, product evangelist and the voice of the customer
·Work with Product Manager and focus groups to identify product enhancements
·Work with the sales, support and development teams to identify and document user stories and requirements
·Define and quantify the impact of new products and/or features being considered for inclusion in a product release
·Assist in product testing, analysis and diagnosis
·Manage product backlog
·Support customer services with investigation and fault diagnosis
