Process Engineer
Location: Foston, Derbyshire
Pay: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum dependant on Experience
Hours: 8.30 until 5.00 Monday -Friday with an hours break

The Client
A relatively new company to the area who are a supplier of mass production items to the UK house building market. With an innovative approach they utilise an automated moving production line that sends products out of the factory gate every six hours which are then transported to destination sites and assembled quickly and efficiently.

The Role
You will provide technical direction in all phases of the manufacturing process (including prototypes), recommending improvements for the build by conducting trials, testing, checking costs and compiling results. Contributing to manufacturing specifications and providing detailed analysis and design of assembly processes to reflect product drawings, specifications and manufacturing considerations. Establishing detailed and accurate production processes whilst working effectively with other teams to enable optimum and cost-effective production solutions. Assisting in compiling reports and other engineering documentation, producing process control specifications, flow diagrams and maintenance schedules. Managing projects, making recommendations for best practice or alternative processes and identify opportunities for improvements. Delivering completed modules to set deadlines and providing technical assistance during. Producing data to demonstrate productivity and keep up to date with industry practices.
The Candidate
*With the ability to train and develop the production crew to a high level, lead projects and support improvement using LEAN, 5S, 6S and Continuous Improvement.
*Minimum HND/HNC in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering,
*GCSEs and/or A Levels or equivalent Qualifications. Maths at A Level (or equivalent)
*Excellent IT skills, experience of CAD and excellent at Microsoft Excel
*Experienced in PFMEA and Control Plans
*Confident at understanding technical drawings.
*A track record in process design working to a robust production process
*Previous involvement in NIP and NPD processes.
*Extensive experience in the Production /Process Engineering sector
