Portfolio Test Manager - 6month contract| Hertfordshire
Agile, Scrum, TDD, BDD, Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber,

A Portfolio Test Manager is to provide both the strategic leadership and management of the
function. The role is expected to oversee the testing approach, automation, tooling and further imbedding agile
practices to the team. We are looking for both someone to provide solid management of the team but also the
leadership to move the team forward strategically whilst achieving a demanding programme of work through
2017.

Key accountabilities:-
*Defining test strategies and approaches for new business products (functional, non-functional)
*Advise on testing tools and proactively develop testing as a practice
*Manage test delivery and accountable that testing is fit for purpose across assigned product & Programmes
*Manage the right level of automation and lead the creation of this with the project
*Management of test leads and testers - enabling and inspiring our testing talent
*Developing our testing staffing and subject matter expertise
*Working closely with partner organisations to develop integrated test approaches that meet the agreed test strategy
*Reporting on the overall status of the Test processes on a regular basis to all key stakeholders Drive Innovation in automation at all application tiers including UI, APIs, CLIs, and the database layer.
*Build strong, lasting relationships across the Endpoint team with a focus on peer and senior management levels
*Drive tool adoption and seek opportunities to leverage test tools for greater organizational efficiency
*Working closely with the development team to collaborate and influence new development

Experience
*Very strong understanding of agile delivery methods (e.g. Scrum, TDD/BDD)
*Experience of agile at scale - multiple scrum teams working to the same PB with all the necessary integration and testing
*Must have experience and understand continuous Integration tools and automated testing (e.g. Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber)
*Jira and Confluence and any relating plug-ins to support testing
*Demonstrable understanding of both manual and automated testing approaches, and ability to decide when to use each approach
*Minimum of 5 years' experience across all areas of Test Management (System Integration, User Acceptance and Volume & Performance etc)
*Excellent people manager with the ability to motivate people to continually improve skills and performance to complete tasks
*Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to find solutions to issues, work around conflicting priorities (different test phases/projects all with different priorities)
