Are you a detail-orientated problem solver who enjoys collaborating with others? Do you thrive in a fast paced environment? We're looking for an experienced Database Administrator who is keen to grow their skills and experience while keeping up with the rapid growth and changes.
As an experienced Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the management and effective day to day running of our Oracle database environments. This includes installation, configuration, migration, administration and upgrades of the complex Oracle estate.
The nature of this position involves actively participating in multiple projects and their deliverables at any one time- so you will need to be a natural multi-tasker with a positive 'can-do' attitude. Ideally, you would be comfortable with communicating information across all levels of the organisation.
Key skills :- RAC, Dataguard, OEM, RMAN if you have Goldengate, patching experience, performance tuning this would be a distinct advantage.
The role is to work within a team of 11. As well as the technical skills they want someone who is a real team player & very passionate about what they do, this will be key for the environment & culture.
This role will include liaison with other technical areas such as Unix System Administration, Middleware Support, Architecture designers, Development Teams, Acceptance Testing and Service and Operations Management.
Typically this will require the post holder to:
Provide project support to development teams including troubleshooting and performance monitoring.
Deliver, to demanding timescales, project work including the build or enhancement of database systems Implement Oracle Software installs and upgrades.
Provide technical support for test systems including out of hours and weekend working.
Contribute to the development and continuous review of appropriate practices, standards and guidelines.
Document and manage change to existing systems.
Provide technical knowledge to all other Infrastructure and Network Services teams.
Provide technical support throughout the development cycle to all development and delivery teams.

This role will require a thorough knowledge and experience of the following:
Experience in a demanding, high availability environment
Oracle 10G & 11G
Oracle Enterprise Manager
Oracle 10 Grid Control
Troubleshooting Oracle environments
Project background instead of live?
Positive Attitude with strong desire to learn
Takes ownership and responsibilities for deliverables
Flexibility in working out of hours and weekends
