Job Description

Oracle Database Administrator- 6 month contract

As an experienced Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the management and effective day to day running of our Oracle database environments. This includes installation, configuration, migration, administration and upgrades of the complex Oracle estate.

The nature of this position involves actively participating in multiple projects and their deliverables at any one time- so you will need to be a natural multi-tasker with a positive 'can-do' attitude. Ideally, you would be comfortable with communicating information across all levels of the organisation.

Deliver an outstanding level of Database Administration support across all Payment Systems, ensuring SLA's are met or exceeded
Deliver, to demanding timescales, database installations, upgrades, migrations or enhancements to our Database Environments
Perform and coordinate advanced Database troubleshooting, analysis and performance monitoring
Participate with ongoing Continuous Service Improvement Programmes to drive process improvements and efficiencies
Document and manage change to existing systems
Mentor and technically guide less experienced members of the team
Collaborate with Architecture to provide strategic guidance for the delivery of Database solutions
Provide technical design in the delivery of infrastructure and development projects
Working closely and effectively with operational teams for the resolution of incidents and problems
