Operations Program Manager-London City-Initial 12 Month Contract-£400/£450pd

Our Client, a Global Technology company, is seeking a Operations Program Manager to be based in the City of London on an initial 12 month contract.

Team/Department Mission

Our Core Operations is responsible for Partner Management, Program Management, Revenue Assurance, Payments and Fraud operations. The Commerce & Program Management Team (CPPM) is accountable for our global payment penetration, provides our overall payment strategy, fulfills the payments service development process, and manages the relationships and engagement with our payment partners. The team is responsible for program managing any commerce or payment initiative from Concept, Opportunity Sizing, Business Case, Development (via our Agile Engineering Org), and Deployment to Operations, and manages the Core Operations Roadmap.

Role Purpose

The CPPM Operations Program Manager is responsible for owning end to end program management for our payment initiatives from concept through to deployment, and account manages critical payment service provider partners. Payments initiatives vary from optimization of current methods to integration of new payment service providers and channel partners. Understanding e-commerce and having in-depth knowledge of global on-line payment methods in key markets is critical to this role.

Key Accountabilities

Account management of partners, facilitation of partner business reviews, market research, compilation of opportunity sizing and business cases, program management of the key components and business stakeholders of any given payment initiative including: BI, Finance, Legal, PR, Marketing, Business Development, Commerce Engineering, Operations and Operational Readiness. With being a diverse and matrix organization, relationship building / management and facilitation are central to the role.

Key Success Criteria

Prior experience of managing external partners to drive optimal performance against Commerce KPI's, and the ability to engage and facilitate at Senior Level. Ability to lead, manage, and own complex on-line payment programs from Concept through to Deployment. We operate in over 150 countries and offers over 60 different ways to pay for our premium products, thus global payments knowledge is critical. Commercially minded, this role requires the ability to research, compose, present, and convince / influence senior business stakeholders on concepts, opportunities, and business cases to expand our payment accessibility.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1) Essential Experience:
- Proven ability to account manage external partners and drive successful partnerships
- Excellent knowledge of Card acquiring and interchange from experience at either a Financial Institution, On-Line Merchant, or Payment Service Provider
- Excellent knowledge of global on-line alternative payment methods from experience at either a Financial Institution, On-Line Merchant, or Payment Service Provider
- Good knowledge of mobile payments including Carrier Billing and Mobile Wallets
- Proven capability to undertake market research, build commercial models, and present at senior level
- Program management experience and with a successful track record of delivering complex programs in large organizations
- Good understanding of factors influencing User Experience in the on-line payments domain

2) Technical / Functional Skills
- Good knowledge of the transactional perspective of on-line payments and the associated KPI's of the payments industry
- Market Research, knowledge of the variance in e-commerce markets, and relevant publications
- Commercially minded, able to compose business cases, understand P&L
- Excellent presentation skills
- Business Analysis and Reporting skills - Sql, knowledge of BI reporting tools (e.g. Pentaho, GreenPlum), Agile tools (e.g. Atlassian JIRA, Visual Studio), good MS Excel skills, good MS Sharepoint skills, data management tools (e.g. Tableau)
