Role Description

An office automation architect is an IT specialist with an in-depth knowledge of several business domains. He/she understands the business vision, strategy and roadmaps and can translate the functional requirements into an effective, reliable and future proof solution.

The Office automation architect will assure that the business requests are handled within the right time and with the right priority.
He/she interacts with the business and IT people (architects, functional analysts, project managers) to ensure that there is a complete set of good and relevant, unambiguous and complete business requirements.
His/her main deliverables are documenting a solution architecture and providing the estimates to develop, operate, maintain and implement it.
During project implementation he/she will make sure that the solution is compliant to the agreed solution.

As an office automation architect, you will be responsible for the assessment and management of the business requirements for new projects/enhancements related to several business divisions (Enterprise, Consumer, Security,…)
Based on your knowledge of the Office Automation area, you will create the solution blueprint and deliver an architectural solution document to the engineering teams.
You will contribute to the 5 year roadmap for the Office Automation domain.
You will act as the single point of contact for the business requestors.

You will potentially be involved in RFP processes (writing, selection, project follow-up and acceptance) and in the coaching of people evolving towards an architect/analyst role.


IT professional with 7-10 years experience in a role of analyst or architect.
Able to conceptualize complex solutions.
Knowledge of different Office Automation technologies (= windows client related technologies)
A good communicator, in writing and speaking, in Dutch, French and English.
Time management and organizational skills
Good negotiations skills.
Knowledge of the Telecom business and Microsoft products is a must.
Experience with RFP processes.
Coaching skills.
