Job Description


Purpose of the role:
Medical Adviser will serves as a point of expertise to internal and external stakeholders and will also provide a medical overview of promotional activities and contribution to communication with regulatory authorities.
This role will report to Regional Medical Director and will have major responsibility for execution of the local Medical Affairs brand strategy and programs that support the development, commercialization and life cycle management of marketed and development company products. The Medical Adviser will maintain close working relationships with European Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and Science (Discovery) and various functions within Affiliate.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
·Interacts with healthcare organizations and authorities, healthcare professionals, clinical investigators, and other healthcare organizations;
·Provide balanced, and scientifically rigorous medical and clinical information;
·Represent the Medical Affairs Department at Local or Regional Medical events (e.g. Medical Congresses and Symposia);
·Provide first line medical information support to existing compassionate use programs and deals with information requests from physicians and patient advocacy groups;
·Maintains clinical expertise through pro-active and dedicated education including attendance at relevant symposia, scientific workshops, CME events, preceptorships, and review of key journals;
·Support sponsorship activities by identification of new speakers, providing feedback on success of programs, and coaching of speakers on scientific content;

Experience and Qualifications requirements:
·Minimum PHD degree in Life Sciences or Medical Degree
·Minimum 3 years experience in pharmaceutical industry within Medical Affairs, Safety or Clinical Research;
·Substantial experience, specialization and/or clinical experience in hemato-oncology therapeutic area;
·Experience in interaction with local healthcare authorities Health Care Providers strongly preferred;
·Experience interacting with, and/or presenting to, Payer audiences preferred (e.g., Managed Care Medical Directors and Pharmacy Directors);
·Strong knowledge of international and local compliance regulations/requirements/ guidelines that govern this position, including interactions with providers, payers, and sales representatives is preferred;
·Health care-related publication track record a plus.
