Our client is seeking for a flexible IT Manager who is as comfortable spending time with the board as they are rolling their sleeves up to support individual customer needs. Our client is growing rapidly, so this is literally the best time to be a part of this organisation! You will have a key role within the company as you would report directly to the Managing Director.
It is a newly created IT Manager role within UK's premier logistics specialist. Your daily responsibilities will be:
-In house support for approximately 40 users, & growing, across 6 sites. This will involve managing all IT systems in house, providing technical support to the front-end users, training employees on relevant systems, setting up new work stations and working with our third-party IT support.
-Great understanding of EDI as you will work closely with their client's external customers/partners to ensure swift and seamless EDI links with their systems and setup new links as new customers are brought on board.
-Manage IT projects

- Organise system training and system support for front end users & Able to communicate effectively with a range of employees regarding IT systems in a clear and timely way, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly.
- Review projects to ensure the planning, justification and evaluation meets design specification & advise the business on where IT might make a difference to Company performance and service delivery.
Skills and Experience needed:
Degree level intellect.
Several years of relevant IT management experience, including projects, ideally with time in an SME environment.
Able to both develop and deliver an IT strategy as well as deal with technical, day to day issues.
Experience with Logistics/Warehousing IT systems (would be a great advantage)
Management, development and administration of company IT systems
Network / Server administration
Managing IT Infrastructure
Familiar with cloud based systems
Strong organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate with all stakeholders (contractors, partners and customers) and gather requirements
Easily approachable and friendly in nature.
