Job Description

My Client, a major Consultancy company are looking for an Experienced Insurance Company financial Accountant.

·Core areas of responsibility:
oAssist in the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation and posting of underwriting and non-underwriting journals
oReconciliations between different systems as well as reconciling/ investigating balance sheet accounts
oSupport the monthly and quarterly results production for submission to senior EO management and Group
oAssist in the production of the monthly and quarterly management reports, Group reporting packages and associated audit files
oCompleting tasks for the on-line reconciliation tool (BlackLine) and the subsequent Finance Attestation
oWork with colleagues in London, as well as the Global Shared Services Centre, to ensure the overall output and quality of the service provided by the team is to an appropriately high standard

·Core requirements
oPart Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
oRecent or current experience of working for a General Insurance Accounting team or within a Big 4 firm
oFamiliarity with Oracle Fusion, TM1, Hyperion and Blackline desirable
oExperienced MS Excel user (pivots, if statements, lookups and experience of working with large amounts of data) with a good command of other MS Office applications
oStrong written and verbal communication skills
oAbility to work accurately and effectively in a deadline driven environment
oAbility to think quickly and clearly under pressure
