Job Description

My Client a Global holiday company based in Crawley are looking for a Health and Safety Administrator

This position sits within the H&S team and reports to the H&S Manager. However, on a day to day basis the role will take direction from other team members, operating under the guidance of the H&S Manager.

The main function of the role is the provision of practical support to the H&S team with a number of administrative tasks that will assist with the day to day management of risks to both customers.

What You Will Be Doing
Issue self - assessments to third party supplier services as required and ensure that an up to date audit trail is maintained for each service provider detailing any actions recommended, actions taken and outstanding issues in accordance with company policy.

To plan and arrange overseas and UK visits, organise safety consultants visits overseas as and when required.

Undertake follow up by email with third party suppliers for outstanding documentation that confirms managed issues are being appropriately addressed, and updating various reporting formats accordingly.

Be responsible for maintaining up to date records, relating to the status of properties and suppliers/service providers, both manually and electronically.

Organise safety training courses and conferences for any UK & overseas staff, under the guidance of H&S Manager.

Provide assistance to the Health & Safety Team with S2C/other H&S database administration related queries

Collate and load overseas Health & Safety checklists that come into the UK (Accommodation, Excursion, Transportation & Sustainability) onto the S2C database.

Be responsible for maintaining up to date records of all health and safety issues raised through customer correspondence both manually and electronically.

What They Are Looking For
excellent administration, organisation and interpersonal skills.

Experience of Word and Excel and an aptitude for systems is essential.

Be able to communicate effectively at all levels and have the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Be able to determine priorities and act on own initiative with a focus on service.

Experience of managing relationships with diverse internal customers at appropriate levels.

Ability to undertake independent research under own initiative, and a willingness to undertake further training to support department requirements as appropriate.

Knowledge and experience of a leisure travel business or similar environment is preferable.

An interest in Health and Safety (previous experience is not essential).

Full UK Driving License.

Ability to travel overseas occasionally and possibly at short notice.
