Engineering Manager
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £42-50k + bonus + package

An exciting and challenging opportunity to join a leading train operator has arisen as Engineering Depot Manager for their engineering and fleet maintenance facility.
The Depot Manager will lead and inspire the Depot Management Team within a busy engineering environment where the team pride themselves on engineering excellence and efficiency to ensure trains meet ever exacting and challenging standards, which are delivered to customers on time and to cost.

You would lead, motivate and mentor the depot team in delivering planned engineering workload priorities driving continuous improvement.

You would lead depot annual budget preparation and forecasting, ensuring controls are in place for monitoring and budget delivery. In addition, ensuring site safety is managed and maintained in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, East Midlands Trains Rules and Regulations and COSHH.

Candidate
You will be an experienced and motivational manager with an extensive mechanical or electrical engineering background within an engineering or manufacturing environment. You will have an innovative outlook and be eager to focus upon long term continuous improvements and change management alongside the day to day running of the depot.

You will bring strong knowledge of production operating systems, and financial and contract management systems. Experience working alongside trade unions would be highly beneficial but is not essential.

Please note this role carries an on-call responsibility.
