Job Description


The Role
You will be part of a technical team transitioning this project out of a working proof of concept into production and continuing innovation and product development in this exciting space. Providing this kind of cutting-edge intelligent decision support will directly enhance the ability of the research community to bring safe drugs to market quicker.

*Selecting features, building and optimising predictive models using machine learning techniques
*Applying NLP techniques for entity recognition
*Translating product requirements into algorithms and visualisation which deliver business insights.
*Support the engineering team in productionising and operationalising prototypes
*Extending company's data with third party sources of information when needed
*Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
*Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
*Work closely with QA on acceptance testing cycles
*Create technical documentation.

*Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Random Forests, etc.
*Performing natural language, machine learning, and statistical analysis methods, such as classification, sentiment analysis, and topic modeling.
*Information Retrieval/Natural Language Processing with a solid background in statistical learning techniques.
*Proficiency in using query languages and experience with large-scale production databases.
*Proficiency in using graph query languages, such as Cipher or Gremlin and experience with graph databases highly desirable.
Knowledge of the Semantic Web, RFD, OWL, SPARQL & Linked Data highly desirable.
*Good scripting and programming skills in Python
*Working knowledge of cloud environments especially AWS and automated infrastructure important.
