This is a role within the UK & Ireland Product Information Management (PIM) team. The PIM team is focused on working with data as a key business asset and are responsible for the management of all digital assets associated with 55,000 products, ensuring that the data is accurate and available for multiple output uses. The business has a strategic goal to optimise the acquisition and maintenance of high quality product content to deliver multiple business benefits and outputs to the business and its customers. These include increased online engagement through our websites, optimise our product content on our partner's e-Commerce stores and increasing productivity by improving data accessibility.
As a key member of the UK & Ireland Global Product Information Management team you will be integral in delivering a key business support function in enabling the facilitation of digitised product data onto centralised systems and create multiple format outputs.
The role will include working with different product data systems and their databases, the main two are Hybris and Celum which you will receive full training on as part of your induction.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
·Maintain product data, working in conjunction with the content owners to ensure accurate data is captured within corporate systems, post launch changes, for use in linked systems/outputs.
·Collaborate with relevant teams around the business (IT, PIM/Data Governance, Marketing, Technical, etc.) to ensure continued improvement of data quality, availability and consistency across all outputs - web, print & data syndication.
·Conduct analysis on marketing data (across multiple product ranges, systems and sources), consider potential options/solutions to data issues/inconsistencies and make recommendations to enhance data provision.
·Product Information Management of products through the product life cycle, following business processes
·Manage loading/testing of acquired data in the corporate PIM systems (Hybris & Celum) and create and maintain accurate product hierarchies in overall product information process.
·Identify and deliver data requirements for a range of outputs including websites and data syndication.
·Track and report on key metrics related to the quality and completeness of data in Hybris and Celum including delivery of recommended actions for the team to address.
·Recommend opportunities for enhanced database functionality and test new functionality to ensure it meets business needs.
·Other GPIM related responsibilities as required.
The ideal candidates will have worked in a product data management roles and have experience in the application, manipulation and management of data as a critical asset.
·Proficient user of PC technology is essential including MS Office packages
·Proficient Excel skills including management and manipulation of data using a range of key excel formulas and functions
·Experience working with product data management
·Experience in Hybris and Celum databases or similar is a plus but not essential
·Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English
·An eye for detail and analysis but able to identify with the bigger picture
·Able to prioritise tasks and with an ability to work autonomously
·Problem solving & questioning skills
·Team player with interpersonal and networking skills
