Cell Line Development Leader

Cell Line Development Leader required for a leading a leading biopharmaceutical company. My client has a fantastic reputation and friendly team. They are a specialist biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of fully human monoclonal antibody drugs.

My client is looking for an experienced scientist & team leader to establish our in-house commercial cell line development capabilities
Key responsibilities:

·Setting strategic and scientific objectives for the Cell Line Development Team
·Establishing a new team through internal and external hiring, Proactive management of team performance and personal development
·Develop and implement experimental strategies and establish new business-critical working processes
·Influence and draw up experimental strategies in line with business objectives and establish required infrastructure for the whole team.
·Authoring of or relevant sections of regulatory submissions, generating IP as well as scientific peer reviewed publications.
·Evaluating and implementing and troubleshooting new technologies including high-throughput automated cell culture systems.

Candidates Criteria:

·PhD or equivalent in cell and molecular biology.
·Extensive industry-relevant experience in Commercial Cell Line Development and broader biopharmaceutical development activities.
·Extensive molecular biology knowledge.
·Experience in optimising recombinant protein expression (mAbs as well as novel molecules).
·Experienced in regulatory submissions process.
·Line management or matrix team leadership.
