Job Description

Business Continuity Officer Rickmansworth/Harrogate/Dunstable -Permanent position.

Responsibilities will include:
*Support the Head of Business Continuity & Crisis Management to implement BCM Policy and Business Continuity (BC) governance requirements.
*Engage with the BC reps and line management across the business to enhance and embed BC within the organisation
*Maintain, monitor and suggest improvements to the BC software. Using the BC Toolset software to support, challenge and report on: planning review cycles, testing recovery time objectives, key activities, suppliers and timelines for all the company's Business Continuity Plans
*Organise and participate in the quarterly BC Community meetings
*Maintain documentation, processes and evidence to support continued certification to ISO 22301
*Co-ordinate, support, train and assess competent BC Reps
*Demonstrate that the company has a robust capability by helping to exercise, test and measure the business continuity framework, by monitoring the exercises performed across the business and providing oversight when required
*Provide support across the business to enhance and imbed BC within the organisation.
*Contribute to the improvement of the wider Security Team through knowledge share and participation in team activities
*Be an active advocate for BC throughout the company and to all external parties.

Skills/Experience
*Good organisational and diary management skills, Proven Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, Project, Power Point, Visio, Outlook)
*Knowledge of Business Continuity or ISO related standards.
*Excellent communication skills - uses all relevant channels and resources to communicate effectively and proactively.
*Be personable yet able to challenge/question constructively when necessary.
*Good senior management and customer relationship skills.
*Team working - ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of people. Work co-operatively with others as part of a team.
*Organisation and detailed planning ability is essential.
*Demonstrate strong disciplines with regard to accuracy and quality of output.
*Flexibility to travel when required.
