Job Description

Automation Development and Delivery Manager - Suffolk - £50,000 - £60,000


A great managerial opportunity has been made available to work with an established packaging company who are moving in a direction that will offer a great career to anyone who wishes to make a step up. Working closely with the Product Development Manager you will work on various client sites and projects to make sure every day is different.



The Role

-Responsible for writing machines Product Requirement Specifications.

-Responsible for management of FAT / SAT activities

-Responsibility of automation roll out planning including site requirement specifications / services / waste management etc…

-Input on supplier contracts / costings etc..

-The candidate would work with the Product Development Manager to ensure machine output is fit for purpose

-The candidate would work with Supply Chain Manager to ensure feed consumables are to specification during commissioning activities

-Maintain all automation machine related paperwork including dimension drawings

-Create machine spares database including contact details of manufacturers, costs etc...


Requirements


-Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or engineering management

-At least 6 years experience in special purpose automation design, management or procurement

-Good understanding of all Microsoft office programs

-Understanding of MS Project advantageous but not essential

-Knowledge of SolidWorks advantageous but not essential
