Main Job Responsibilities
·Preparation of monthly financial accounting data on behalf of client countries including calculating and processing accruals, prepayments and other entries as required.
·Completion of month end accounting processes in line with the Corporate timetable.
·Reconciliation of closing inventory to closing ledger including resolution of issues.
·Calculation and verification of accruals, including Goods Received Not Invoiced, Goods in Transit and Non Working Inventory.
·Reconciliation of Interco payables and inventory clearing accounts including invoice entry, statement reconciliations and monthly payment cycles.
·Month end gross margin analysis including verification and explanation of variances.
·Responding to issues and questions raised by client countries.
·Review of financial statements and other data before transmission to parent company.
·Reconciliation of allocated accounts including investigation and resolution of any differences.
·Reconciliation of Intercompany positions.
·Posting of bank transactions.
·Assisting with resolution of audit queries
·Identification and implementation of process improvements.
Knowledge & Skills
·Numeracy and accounting knowledge is essential.
·Process improvement mindset.
·Good PC skills, especially in data manipulation.
·Familiarity of a recognised integrated accounting package, PeopleSoft GL preferred
·English language fluent; other languages would be an advantage
·Good verbal and written communication skill
·Good team/group member, works towards group targets
·Reliable and committed self starter who is prepared to work first 6 working days of each month without taking holiday in that period; this may include working on UK Bank Holidays
