Account Director (Medical Communications)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Account Director or experienced Account Manager ready to take the next step to join a growing medical communications agency. The successful applicant will be an integral part of a diverse team of employees developing, leading and maintaining outstanding, 'world class' service relationships with clients, key opinion leaders (KOLs), suppliers and internal teams.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working within the account team, you will be required to administer the following duties:

To lead accounts and ensure the continued delivery of current projects to meet the client's brief, on time and on budget.
To lead the development of new initiatives for the accounts
To manage the delivery of selected projects and to take responsibility of delivery to meet the client's brief, on time and on budget.
To help line manage and mentor junior staff.

Account Management
·Attend client meetings (virtual and face-to-face) and be prepared to discuss the status of all projects and contribute to the discussion of new ideas and concepts
·Identify action points during internal and external meetings and ensure that they are completed
·Take responsibility to ensure that the status report has been updated by the relevant team members and is circulated to the client prior to the bi-weekly call
·Develop draft presentations, agendas, briefing documents etc and following briefing, incorporate changes as requested and ensure that all relevant client and team members input
·Liaise with the client directly on selected projects to ensure delivery
·Build relationships with Experts to facilitate their involvement in projects, briefing them clearly when required
·Work with the internal team and freelancers to ensure that all meetings and materials are produced to the highest possible standard on time and within budget.
·Work within the compliance systems of the client to ensure that any materials produced or arrangements made have been approved and are compliant
·Facilitate interactions between clients and Experts at congresses, advisory boards and other meetings
·Identify opportunities for new projects and working with the Managing Director and other team members, develop proposals, pitch ideas and convert opportunities for organic growth of the account

Work with the Managing Director to develop budgets, track finances, prepare invoices and update company financials for the account

Ideal Candidate:
·You will come from a medical communications agency, be either a Senior Account Manager or Account Director and be qualified to degree level, preferably in science

·You must also be able to work in a very fast-paced environment and have the ability to be 100% accurate at all times
·You will be an excellent multi-tasker and be able to work well under pressure
·You will be someone who wants to deliver an excellent service, be proactive, optimistic, and not afraid of hard work
·You will have knowledge of current ABPI, European and international guidelines
